Ice Skating Rink in Shimla
The Shimla ice-skating rink has the largest open-air area with naturally frozen ice. Ice-skating normally begins in early December and carries on to February. Two sessions of skating is organized every day depending upon the frozen ice. The hanging balloon on the Shimla Municipal Building adjacent to scandal point works as signal , whether skating is going to held on that day or not. Membership is available for the season as well as for single sessions. Skates are available at the rink.
Located 2 kilometers from the Ridge Jakhu Temple is a temple in Shimla dedicated to Hanuman. A steep uphill climb from the Ridge will get you to the Jakhu temple. The Jakhu temple is located at a height of 2455 meters on the highest peak in Shimla.
