A trekking trip to Beas Kund along with sightseeing in Manali can be conveniently planned in a seven day program.
Ideally a trek to Beas Kund should be planned for three days with camping near Beas Kund at Bhakar Thach however the trek to Beas Kund can be accomplished in two days also. To complete the trek in two days be ready to walk about 15 kms in a day and it can be difficult for beginners especially on the way up to Beas Kund.

Beas Kund Trek Route
The trek to Beas Kund starts across Solang Valley where the road branches towards Dhundi which lies about 8 kms Solang Valley. Although motorable vehichles are not allowed on this road. Dhundi is the last village in Solang valley. A 3 kms trek on a well trodden path from Dhundi will get you to Bhakar thach which is a popular campsite on the way to Beas Kund. Beas Kund is another 3 kms ahead of Bhakar Thach. There is plenty of clearing around Beas Kund making it easy to set up your camp.
Dhundi is about 8 kms away from Solang valley and is the last village in Solang Valley and this is where Beas River meets its first tributary converging from Beas Kund and Rohtang. Trek to Dhundi from Solang 'nallah' is on motorable paved roads.
